ATLANTA — Auburn football extended its spring winning streak to four games with a 1-0 victory over Tennessee on Saturday at Georgia Sports Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
The two teams traded blows for 79 minutes before the Tigers broke the scoreless deadlock in the 80th minute thanks to a freshman goal. Dylan Driver fourth goal of the spring.
Junior forward Maddie Simpson initiated the play, spinning a defender on a throw and heading to the goal line for a cross sent back to Driver for a one-touch shot inside the left post.
Next, Auburn travels to Tallahassee to take on Florida State and close out its exhibition season. The first kickoff on April 22 is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.
