Team USA women’s basketball training camp featured some of the best youngsters WNBA are playing together this month in Durham, North Carolina, as the national program prepares for the upcoming international competition.

The camp featured a mix of established veterans and emerging talents in a 17-player group that also included stars like Indiana feverIt is Caitlin Clark, Chicago SkyIt is Angel ReeseDallas Wings Paige BueckersVeronica Burton of the Golden State Valkyries and USC Trojans“JuJu Watkins, marking a clear youth movement for the senior national team.

One-week sessions Duke The university gave the players their first opportunity to compete together at the senior level, blending WNBA experience with new faces in red, white and blue. USA Basketball Executive Director Sue Bird and Coach Kara Lawson have focused on building depth and identity while exposing players to international-style play before qualifying events.

The fans had the privilege of see the playersincluding Clark and Reese, interacting on the field during drills and scrimmages, moments that have since captivated social media with highlights of team chemistry.

After camp, Team USA shared a video of Reese discussing his playing experience with Clark and other top players, putting his excitement into words for fans and teammates.

“I’m just really grateful to be able to be here with the best…I’m not going to take this moment for granted. I’m so grateful because a lot of people don’t have this moment. So I try to take a lot of things from other people, from communications, even just ball handling,” Reese said.

“Being able to see Aaliyah (Boston) post and post deep, and being able to take those things and implement them into yourself. And I think it just shows the growth of the game and how we can just compete in the (WNBA) and then come back here to the United States and just be together and be here for one goal, and that’s the championship and winning the gold medal.”

Team USA’s training camp is the first step toward the 2026 FIBA ​​Women’s World Cup qualifiers, with the final roster expected to consist of this group of camp invitees to join the team that will compete internationally next year.

If Reese and Clark advance to the final, it would mark their first senior national team appearance in official international competition.
