Bianca Andreescu will delay the start of her 2025 season after undergoing an appendectomy.
THE 2019 US 2019 open champion 2019 said Thursday in a Post of Instagram history that she had planned to participate in the Merida Open later this month until this complication arises.

Andreescu, 24, has been limited by injuries in the past two years. She missed nine months with a back problem before returning to action in May 2024. Her last tournament was Pan Pacific Open in October.
