THE UNITED STATES The Football Federation’s presidential election will take place this Saturday during the Federation’s annual general meeting in Orlando. When representatives from different councils come together to vote for a new president, many questions will be at the forefront of their minds and why they are voting for a particular candidate.
Many issues were highlighted during this year’s elections: youth development, venue selection, ticket prices, promotion/relegation, men’s national team selection, equal pay for women, grass versus grass, maintaining the strength of the women’s national team, training. education, accessibility, scouting in urban/underserved communities, and Pay to Play are some of the issues that drove this election.
