THE Texas Tech football team made its fourth commitment Tuesday for the recruiting class of 2026, one of the Red Raiders‘backyard.
Krush Johnson, a first-team District 2-5A Division I defensive tackle from Amarillo Tascosa, announced his commitment to technology. He visited campus during the junior day hosted by the Red Raiders staff on Saturday.
Tascosa lists Johnson at 6-foot-4 and 275 pounds.
The Rebels went 7-6 last season, making it three rounds in the playoffs before losing to Aledo. In October, Johnson won the vote for the Amarillo Globe-News Midseason Area High School Football MVP.
Texas Tech and Texas-El Paso were the first two teams to offer Johnson a scholarship.
The first three high school recruits to commit to Tech were Georgetown East View linebacker Tieson Ejiawoko (6-3, 226), Mount Pleasant defensive tackle Ayden Johnson (6-1, 315) and New Braunfels Canyon defensive back Luke Bell (6-0, 175).
