Let’s talk about the SEC coaching realignment at Alabama.
Number four hosts, number two Georgia Saturday night, Tuscaloosa Alabama, Georgia is a 1.5-point favorite.
All eyes are on Klin De Boer, Alabama’s new coach.
And that’s what makes this specific game very interesting to me, being the opening game.
So Kayla de Boer is taking over for the legend Nick Saban and it’s always a tricky thing and it comes in and you have to Kayla De Boer has to do things the Kaylin DeVos way because you know why Kayla Nao has been so successful. He’s a hell of a football coach and he’s run a hell of a football program, but he’s going to do things a little bit differently than Nick Saban, but he’s got to try to show everybody that’s watching that post Saban ps post Saban is going to work.
Fascinating.
I can’t wait to be there.
This yes.
It’s getting real for Ken de Boer now.
Um, because of all of Nick Saban’s incredible accomplishments, in my opinion, probably the most impressive is completely owning Georgia at a time when Georgia was phenomenal.
Saban had eight and two against Georgia, five and one against Kirby Smart and their games were all extremely important and they met Kirby, sometimes coached, like he was looking at a ghost when Saban was on the other sideline.
We’ll see if he’ll be a little more relaxed when Saban isn’t there in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.
I remember talking to somebody when, uh, Alabama beat Georgia in the SEC Championship Game last year and it was after Nick Saban retired, announced his retirement.
And the person seriously thought Nick Saban wouldn’t have retired if he lost to Kirby?
Now take it for what it’s worth.
But he literally thought that if he had lost to Kirby in that SEC Championship game, he would have come back.
Um, so there is something and I think it’s pretty public between these two people.
