Alex Cooper, host of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, opened up about a topic she avoided for many years. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the podcaster opened up about a traumatic time in her life involving her Boston University football coach. Although Cooper did not reveal details of the incident, the 29-year-old said she has been “in the process” of healing over the past few years. “With this specific thing, it’s very personal to me and it’s had a huge impact on my mental health. Recently I’ve reconnected with a lot of people that I played football with… it’s been quite cathartic,” Cooper said. She also revealed that when she met her teammates, some of whom she hadn’t seen since graduation, they just “started crying.” “There’s another woman who went through this with me,” Cooper said, explaining that she and some of her classmates share the same “scars.” The former D1 athlete concluded that she would talk about the traumatic time on her podcast at some point, but said, “I just don’t know when.”
