According to a report from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, Alabama Crimson Tide outside linebacker Qua Russaw is set to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Russaw, who recently concluded his redshirt sophomore season, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

A former top recruit AlabamaClass of 2023, Russaw has seen action in each of the last two seasons after recording no stats during his true freshman campaign, making 50 total tackles with 3.5 TFL, two sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

That included a standout 2024 campaign as a redshirt freshman where he became Alabama’s starting wolf in Kane Wommack’s defense, but Russaw’s production took a step back in 2025, however, with the main reason being missing time due to injury. In 2025, Russaw appeared in nine total games for the Crimson Tide, accumulating 14 tackles, a TFL, and a sack.

Prior to Alabama, Russaw was ranked as the nation’s 33rd overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Russaw was also considered the No. 6 player in the country out of Carver-Montgomery High School in the state.
