With the early signing period now officially over, this now means that the class of 2025 for the Alabama Crimson Tide probably also concluded.
As of right now, Alabama’s 2025 football signing class currently ranks second in the nation according to the 247 sports team rankings and has a total of 21 signees, along with 22 commitments. The only name in this group yet to sign is also one of the biggest in five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood.

Overall, this is a phenomenal first class for Kalen DeBoer at Alabama, one that rivals some of former head coach Nick Saban’s best classes in Tuscaloosa.
Also looking at this group more broadly, who are the biggest names in the class and which ones are likely to see the field as soon as next season?
Here are five members of Alabama’s class to watch who could make an immediate impact as early as next season, with No. 1 being the most likely:
5. Justin Hill, Edge Rusher
We start with the top edge rusher in Alabama’s 2025 class in Hill, who ranks No. 4 at the position this cycle according to the 247Sports Composite rankings from Winton Woods High School in Ohio. With the Crimson Tide Losing one of its best passers from this season in Que Robinson, Alabama will be counting on some new faces to make an impact at passer next season, and don’t be surprised if Hill is in that group.
4. Lotzeir Brooks, wide receiver
While he’s not top-rated, there may not be a more electric point guard in this entire 2025 class than Brooks, who did a little bit of everything at Millville High School in New Jersey. Brooks will likely be among the fastest players on Alabama’s roster from day one, and the Crimson Tide could find ways to get the four-star prospect involved early next season, whether as potential wide receiver or returner on special teams.
3. Ivan Taylor, Security
Alabama made a significant impact at safety at true freshman in 2023 with Caleb Downs, and the same could very easily happen next year in Taylor. One of the top defensive backs in Alabama’s class, Taylor is a top safety in the cycle and could play a role in replacing Malachi Moore next season in the secondary.
2. Steve Mboumoua, defensive line
A native of Alabama’s 2024 signing class, Mboumoua spent last season gaining an additional year of experience at the JUCO level where he had 46 tackles and 4.5 sacks at Southwest Mississippi Community College. Mboumoua, the nation’s No. 3 overall JUCO prospect, will now join Alabama as a potential instant contributor on the defensive front with exciting size and athleticism in the trenches.
1. Michael Carroll, interior offensive lineman
With the Crimson Tide likely losing starting left guard Tyler Booker to the NFL this offseason, there is a clear opening for the nation’s top-rated interior offensive lineman to step in immediately as a starter. Carroll, a five-star, is the next big offensive lineman to transfer from Florida’s IMG Academy to Alabama alongside Booker, JC Latham and Evan Neal, and will likely see the field in Tuscaloosa sooner rather than later.
