Tyler Bookerone of the top offensive line prospects in the country, is headed to the NFL.

Booker, a Alabama Football The junior offensive guard from New Haven, Connecticut, announced Thursday that he will forgo his final season of collegiate eligibility and enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

According to ESPN’s Dec. 11 NFL Mock Draft, Booker is the only Alabama player projected as a first-round pick. Booker is projected as the fifth offensive lineman selected and first guard selected in the draft ahead of Ohio State guard Donovan Jackson.

Booker follows Alabama linebacker Jihad Campbell and quarterback Jalen Milroe who also declared for the 2025 draft.

LT Overton announced he would return for his senior season in 2025.

Booker became a mainstay on Alabama’s offensive line as a freshman, alternating between the two guard positions and earning All-SEC freshman honors.

Booker became the Crimson Tideis the starting left guard in 2023 when he was named first team All-SEC by the Associated Press and second team All-SEC by the conference coaches. According to Pro Football Focus, Booker allowed two sacks, 11 rushing carries and 15 pressures as a sophomore.

Booker’s production improved significantly in 2024, allowing no sacks, seven hurries and nine pressures in 715 snaps per PFF. He was first team All-SEC by the conference coaches and Alabama’s only first team All-SEC member according to the AP.

Booker was the No. 57 prospect in the 2022 class according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He was the seventh offensive blocker.

Who will replace Tyler Booker for Alabama football?

Alabama apparently has its replacement for Booker in place.

The Crimson Tide added Texas A&M guard Kam Dewberry via the transfer portal in December.

Michigan State transfer Geno VanDeMark alternated between the two guard spots in 2024 and even played center.

Alabama expects the return of Kadyn Proctor, Jaeden Roberts, Parker Brailsford and Elijah Pritchett/Wilkin Formby for its 2025 offensive line.

Alabama also has guards like Casey Poe and Olaus Alinen who could push for playing time in 2025.
