The double champion of the Super Bowl, Shaq Barrett, retired before the training camp in 2024. He did not retire at the end of the season.
He apparently did not intend to retire in 2025.
Via Joebucsfan.com, agent Drew Rosenhaus recently indicated that Barrett does not move away.
“”He will certainly play this year“Said Rosenhaus.
Not drafted in 2014, Barrett spent four years with the broncos and five with the Buccaneers. He signed with dolphins last year; He decided in mid-July not to play.
Barrett emerged from retirement during the season. The Dolphins finally released him. After cleaning the exemptions, he returned to the Bucs. He appeared in the regular season final, taking 12 defensive shots. He also participated in five snaps in the defeat in the playoffs against commanders.
Rosenhaus told Joe Bucsfan.com that Barrett would consider all opportunities as he was looking for the best fit. The best adjustment could still be Tampa Bay.
During the screening combination, the Director General of Buccaneers, Jason Licht, said: “We will never close the door on Shaq. We will see where it is going. We never close the door on Shaq.”
Only 32 years old, Barrett has 59.0 career bags. He won the Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos and the Super Bowl LV with the Buccaneers.
