Find a swing tackle after the departure of Fred Johnson, two free budget Howie agents who have a good chance of contributing and the biggest McKee Stat Tanner in the world.
It’s your lucky day! This weekend, the 10 random eagles observations arrived at your door!
1 and 1 Losing Fred Johnson is a significant underestimated loss because Big Fred played well in his five departures last year – one to a right tackle, four in the left tackle – and his departure leaves the Eagles without a clear successor like this third tackle which can play on each side. Johnson, who is 28 years old in June, signed a one -year agreement with the Jaguars, where he will have the opportunity to compete for a starting place, which was obviously not going to happen here. Who are the candidates to replace him? Brett Toth has been on and outside the Eagles des Eagles team since 2019 – and has also spent time with cards and panthers – but it only started one significant game in his career, and it was in 2023 in Caroline. But it is a favorite of Jeff Stoutland and can play on guard or attack and anyone in the Eagles invests so much time could be in the mixture. Darian Kinnard, the Chiefs 5th-Commer in 2022, was on the list all last year but did not play any significant snaps. But they kept it on the 53, which tells you something. Tyler Steen approached in his history, so perhaps if he does not win the work of the right guard, he could have a look as a safeguard of Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata. There is also Jack Driscoll, who started four games on the right in 2020, one in 2021, two in 2022 and one in 2023 as well as a match on the left in 2022 and nine games in Guard. But he has just injured himself serious ankle and is also a free agent and probably more guard these days anyway. Who is the favorite? Probably someone who is not yet there, a cheap veteran with some experience or a recruit recovery choice. This is not an ideal situation, but when you have pregnancy on your side, you know it will understand it.
2a. Seventeen Eagles 27 or more started at least one match last year. Only six of them are still there: Lane Johnson, Dallas Goedert, Zack Baun, Saquon Barkley, Aj Brown and Jordan Mailata. The other 11? Brandon Graham retired, Darius Slay has been released, CJ Gardner-Johnson was exchanged, Josh Sweat, Fred Johnson and Oren Burks signed elsewhere and CJ Uzomah, Nick Gates, Avonte Maddox, Britain Covey and Jack Driscoll are currently unsigned.
2b. There are only five players left on the list here before Nick Sirianni was hired: Lane Johnson was written in 2013, Jake Elliott signed the Bengal training team in 2017, Dallas Goedert and Jordan Mailata of the 2018 draft and Jalen hurt the 2020 draft. Panthers along the way.)
3 and 3 Tanner McKee is the only quarter of NFL history to finish at least 65% of its passes with two TD passes and no interception in each of its first two career games. Donovan McNabb achieved two of these performances in his first 63 career games, Randall Cunningham two in his first 82 games and Carson Wentz two in his first 30 games. Jalen Hurts did it in 18 games.
4 Last year, Jordan Mailata played 530 snaps in blocks and granted two bags, no quarter shots and had a 95.1 football focus note, which was the highest among all the players last year at each position. And did not do the pro bowl. All those who have not voted for him should be ashamed. For the sake of comparison, the NFC Pro Bowl Taylor Decker of the Lions platform granted eight bags and four strokes of QB and had a note of 77.2 and the Bowler Pro Brian O’neill player of the Vikings granted four bags and no blow of QB and had a year of 79.3. Among 67 plated that played at least 500 snaps, the 94.5 mailata racing block note was the highest, the 70.3 of Decker was 28th And the 74.1 of O’Neill was 19th. The 90.8 90.8 mailata passage rating was second behind Tristan Wirfs, but the 78.0 of Decker was 24th And the 79.7 of O’Neill was 21st. A parody.
5 Of all the transport of second -level free agents, Howie Roseman has accumulated, I am very intrigued by two: Azeez Ojulari and Aj Dillon. The two have fairly serious injury problems, which is why the Eagles have so cheap them, but both are also old 2ND-Borch in the middle of the twenty – Ojulari is 24 years old, Dillon 26 – and the two did quite impressive things when they were healthy. Ojulari only played 46 games during his four NFL seasons, but he has an average of almost half a bag per game – 22 in 46 games. It’s much higher than Josh Sweat (43 in 104 games), but can you keep it on the field? He has an average of 11½ games per season. But production was there. I still think that the Eagles will write a fairly high advantage next month, but among Josh Uche, Bryce Huff and Ojulari, I think that the old giant has the best chance of being a difference in 2025. As for Dillon, from 2021 to 2023, it was one of the only four with 2,000 yards on the ground, 80 captures and 8 and a half per capture. He says he is on the stingers who cost him the 2024 season, and we will see. Another guy whose career has been derailed by injury problems, but as with Ojulari, talent is clearly there. He seems to understand and embrace his role of safeguarding Saquon Barkley, which means long shortcomings where you may not even get on the ground. All these guys signed by the Eagles have something in their recent context which is a red flag to various degrees, but Ojulari and Dillon are two guys who could certainly help.
6. Brandon Graham was the last Eagle who played for Andy Reid, which made me ask me for the last remaining player with the Eagles under other coaches. So I watched it in 1960. There are still four guys here Doug Pederson – Jake Elliott, Jordan Mailata, Dallas Goedert and Jalen Hurts – So let’s start with Chip:
Chip Kelly (2013-2015): Lane Johnson (2013-2025)
Andy Reid (1999-2012): Brandon Graham (2010-2024)
Ray Rhodes (1995-1998): Brian Dawkins (1996-2008), Tra Thomas (1998-2008)
Rich Kotite (1991-1994): William Thomas (1991-1999)
Buddy Ryan (1986-1990): Randall Cunningham (1985-1995), Fred Barnett (1990-1995)
Marion Campbell (1983-1985): Randall Cunningham (1985-1995)
Dick Vermeil (1976-1982): Mike Quick (1982-1990)
Mike McCormick (1973-1975): Jerry Sissemore (1973-1984)
Ed Khayat (1971-1972): Harold Carmichael (1971-1983)
Jerry Williams (1969-1971): Harold Carmichael (1971-1983)
Joe Kuharich (1964-1968): GARRY PETTIGREW (1968-1974), Mark Nordquest (1968-1974)
Nick Skorich (1961-1963): Nate Ramsey (1963-1972), Jim Skaggs (1963-1972)
Buck Shaw (1958-1960): Timmy Brown (1960-1967)
7 Including the playoffs, Zack Baun succeeded 184 plated, 3½ bags, 13 plated for the loss, three interceptions, seven passenger deviations, six forced escapes, three escaped recovery and a smoker rating of 75.0 defender who was 2ND-The higher among the seconds (minimum 50 targets). It was an absolutely ridiculous season. There is an idea that Baun was so good in 2024 that he cannot improve. But I don’t agree. He had a year as an out -of -ball secondary and a year in Vic Fangio’s plan. It is still new to that. Which player who works as hard as Baun and is as intelligent as Baun does not improve in his second year in a new position with a coach like Fangio? Baun might not accumulate all the statistics he had this year, but as far as being a better secondary in a full season, recognizing things better, diagnosing things better, understanding things better? I would not be surprised if we saw an even better baun in 2025.
8 Throw in 1986 because it was the first year of Buddy Ryan with the Eagles and he had to install his system and erase the dead weight list. Throw in 1987 because it was the typing season, with a canceled match and three played with replacement players. This left 1988 to 1990, when the defense of the Eagles had regulated White, Eric Allen, Clyde Simmons, Jerome Brown, Seth Joyner, Wes Hopkins, Andre Waters, Byron Evans and Mike Pitts, all at their peak. However, the Eagles ranked 14th Out of 28 teams in defense during this three -year period, had only one defense among the 10, never ranked above than eighth and granted at least 20 points in the three qualifying games. How could a defense with all this talent be 14th Out of 28 teams over a three -year period? Buddy has trained five years with the Eagles and two with the cards and is one of the four coaches in the history of the NFL to train at least three qualifying games and not to win. The others are Marvin Lewis (0-7), Jim Mora (0-6) and Allie Sherman (0-3). Of these four, only Ryan has lost all the playoffs which he trained by at least two possessions.
9a. The Eagles still had only one hit rushed by more than four yards in their five Super Bowls. It was the 21 yards of Legarrette Blount in the Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis. It is actually the only precipitous affected that the Eagles never had in a super bowl by a ball carrier. Their four other TDs at the Rushing of the Super Bowl were all of Jalen Hurts – 1, 2 and 4 yards in the Super Bowl LVII in Glendale and this 1st yardor last month in the Super Bowl Lix in New Orleans.
9b. Jalen Hurts is one of the six -quarters with more than one pass of a touch in the career in a career of at least 45 yards. He had the 45 yards in AJ Brown two years and 46 yards in Devonta Smith last month. The others are Terry Bradshaw, John Elway, Kurt Warner, Brett Favre and Doug Williams.
10a. Saquon Barkley holds 19% of 60 yards in the history of Eagles.
10b. Barkley has experienced as many 60 yards on the ground this year as the Eagles did in 611 games from week 7 from 1959 to week 16 from 1998.
