We can say that Patrick Renna has found his place in the lightweight world sports humor.
Back in the 90sthe actor played the always quotable character of Ham in “The Sandlot,” followed by his scene-stealing role goalie in “The Big Green”.
And now, at 44 and a father of two, Renna is still making the sports world laugh… one dance step at a time.
In 2022, Renna and her two best friends – brothers Caige and Cru Moore – went viral for their interpretive dance to the NFL theme song, based on choreography created by fellow social media sensations Austin and Marideth Telenko (better known as Cost n’ Mayor).
According to an interview with Hello America, dancing on TikTok had been a suggestion from one of Renna’s Gen Z friends. Knowing he would never do something like this alone, he enlisted the help of Caige and Cru to form their dance team “Chubby Ginger”.
They also get choreographic help from more dance-inclined friends, of course. Like Renna’s childhood friends and actress Lynsey Moore, who “softens” the movements and “yells at them for an hour straight to get their act together and be in sync,” he said. GMA.
Sometimes they even get help from mega pop stars like… I don’t know… LIZZO.
That’s right. After the group “About Damn” routine has been viewed 10.7 million times, the singer contacted herself and offered to give them a hand to succeed in certain movements.

And hey, if you’d rather just bask in the nostalgia, Renna also has a few videos reliving some of those fa favorite movie moment.
It’s always nice to see the child actors from our beloved childhood films grow up and lead healthy, wholesome lives. And Renna certainly seems to be one of those people, happy to do whatever dance people throw at him…except maybe the truffle mix.
