With Liverpool firmly competing at the top of the table under Slot, team availability remains an important factor as matches continue to arrive quickly.
Alisson Becker Fitness Assessment
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker remains under close observation ahead of the Premier League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Brazilian missed Liverpool’s midweek Champions League trip to Galatasaray after suffering a minor problem shortly before the match. Although the problem does not appear to be serious, Arne Slot confirmed that the club is taking a cautious approach.
“He has been with the physiotherapists and in rehabilitation so far.

“We’re training today as you know, so let’s see if he can join the team session today. It’s something I’m expecting but I’m not 100% sure yet because I haven’t spoken with him or the medical staff yet this morning.”
Asked about Alisson’s chances of returning for Liverpool against Tottenham Hotspur, Slot remained cautiously optimistic.
“I’m hopeful, but that doesn’t mean I’m 100 percent sure.”
Slot then added more details about when the problem occurred.
“He felt something when passing the ball through one of his muscles. But after checking it, it was so minor that we think it shouldn’t take very long.

“But as always, the matches come so quickly that he had to miss the one against Galatasaray, and I hope he will be available and ready for Sunday.
“Otherwise I expect it, if things go as planned, definitely against Galatasaray.”
Liverpool fans will be hoping the first-choice goalkeeper will be available against Tottenham Hotspur, given his importance to Slot’s system.

Federico Chiesa expected to return
Federico Chiesa also missed the trip to Istanbul, although his absence was due to illness rather than injury.
The Liverpool striker was unable to travel after feeling unwell shortly before the Champions League match. According to Arne Slot, the situation seems to be improving and Chiesa could return to training with the team.

“I think he feels better now because he didn’t feel good the day before the game and I think we’re up three or four now,” Slot said. “So I think he’s able to train with us again today.”
If Chiesa completes his training without problems, he could provide an additional attacking option for Liverpool against Tottenham Hotspur.

Alexander Isak’s recovery continues
Another player mentioned by Arne Slot was Alexander Isak, who continues his recovery after surgery in December.
The striker is progressing with his rehabilitation but is yet to return to full training with the Liverpool squad.
“With the rehabilitation team still and not with the team yet.”
For Liverpool and Arne Slot, patience remains the key approach as Isak returns to full fitness.
