Oklahoma just signed the nation’s No. 16 class, securing a solid roster of commitments for the 2026 cycle. The Sooners are aiming for something bigger in the 2027 cycle.

Brent Venables and his team has already laid serious foundations for the next course. After a monumental start to March, Oklahoma’s 2027 class now has 19 commits.

That includes one five-star in-state talent and four other top overall prospects. The class now ranks #1 in the rankings Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Four-star quarterback from Saraland (Ala.) Jamie RobertsMobile (Ala.) Williamson four-star safety Jaylen ScottDanville (Ky.) Boyle County four-star tight end Driver SenecaBroken Bow (Okla.) Rivals four-star athlete Greydon Howell and three-star interior offensive lineman from Andover (Kan.) Tyson Ross all joined the OU course this weekend.

Driver ranks as the No. 1 TE in the Rivals300. He’s now a headliner in the class, as is four-star Argyle (Texas) Liberty Christian linebacker. Cooper Wittenthe son of new OU tight ends coach Jason Witten.

On September 25, OU achieved the biggest reversal of the cycle from the start. Five-star offensive tackle from Fort Gibson (Oklahoma) Cooper Hackett had pulled the trigger on a commitment to Texas Tech earlier this fall, but the Sooners kept pushing.

After returning to Norman for another visit, Hackett opted to turn his attention to the state’s SEC program. He told Steve Wiltfong of Rivals that he took “a good deal less” on the NIL front to turn to the Sooners instead of sticking with TTU.

“If I’m in the NFL, which is what I want to do overall, that money isn’t going to matter and I’m going to bet on myself most of the time and that’s what I do,” Hackett said.

Hackett is flanked at the top of the class by another elite monster from the state’s trenches in four-star Bixby (Okla.) OT Kaeden Penny. The 6-foot-4, 265-pounder is the No. 30 recruit and No. 4 extension in the country.

Below is a look at the full OU class so far. Venables and Co. are in a great position to recruit a star class, even though National Signing Day for the 2027 cycle is still far away:
