Florida State football will be without three players for spring practice, as defensive linemen Jordan Sanders and Cam Brooks, alongside quarterback Jaden O’Neal, are all out, according to head coach Mike Norvell.
During a press conference following the first day of spring training on March 9, Norvell confirmed the trio would miss the action.

Brooks suffered an Achilles injury during winter workouts, while O’Neal arrived on campus with a knee injury that required surgery, which will keep him out for the season.
Sanders is a new addition to the injured list, although Norvell said he doesn’t expect him to be out long-term.
“We expect Jordan to be back this summer. … Cam will probably be a little bit more spread out, I’ll probably take a look at him midway through the season. I definitely have a plan right now, looking at four games for him,” Norvell said. “Jaden O’Neal will be missed this fall.”
Sanders transferred from Texas Statewhere he had a productive campaign, recording 16 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble. Brooks is a freshman from Thomas County Central, and he had earned praise from the coaching staff for his performance in winter workouts before his injury.

O’Neal was a 4-star quarterback from Mustang, Oklahoma, and he threw for 2,622 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior. Norvell said he is making progress in his recovery and has actively participated in meetings while continuing to learn the Seminoles offense.
