Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Huskies are expected to welcome a massive wave of unofficial visitors next weekend for Junior Day and we will be sure to post a list next weekend of some of the visitors who were on campus. Today I wanted to spend some time talking about some new 2027 deals that have been floated to some intriguing prospects:
3-star cornerback Kamil Loud from Bishop Gorman HS, NV was offered by UW last week. Loud, who is ranked as the 74th best cornerback in the country by 247sports and Nevada’s 9th best prospect in the class, also holds offers from Utah, Arizona, ASU, FSU, Miami and Wisconsin. The Huskies have really been working to get bigger cornerbacks into the program under Coach Fisch and his staff, and Loud fits that mold (he’s 6’1″ and weighs around 185 pounds). Loud is an intriguing corner who has good ball skills, good instincts, and the frame the Huskies love.
Another new offering launched in the 2027 class has launched in New Jersey. 3-star tight end Sean Currie from Lawrenceville HS, NJ, received a Husky offer last week. The Huskies have now offered 10 players from New Jersey in the 2027 class and Currie is the 16th tight end to be offered in the 2027 class. Listed at 6’7″ and around 230 pounds, Currie is a huge tight end (he is currently committed to Virginia). Currie is currently ranked as the 21st best tight end in the 2027 class by 247sports and also holds offers from Penn State, FSU, Pitt and Wisconsin Last season, Currie had 34 catches for 474 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The Huskies, who now have 7 commits in the 2027 class, are definitely aiming to beat the 2026 class ranking which was 13th best in the country and there is a good chance the Huskies can surpass it this year. Junior Day next weekend will go a long way in solidifying the class and preparing the Huskies for a monster run this spring/early summer as official visits begin to ramp up. That’s all for now and as always, follow me @asieverkropp.
