Texas A&M’s culture under former head coach Jimbo Fisher and current coach Mike Elko shares similarities, focusing on developing players into future leaders, both on and off the field, while several players who transferred from the program remain strongly associated with the Maroon & White. One of those players, former Aggie wide receiver Chase Lane, is poised to achieve his future goals.
Chase Lane’s career at Texas A&M spanned three seasons (2020-2022), as the Houston, Texas native passed for what remains a career-high 409 yards and two touchdowns, and after transferring to Georgia Tech Joining former Aggie quarterback Haynes King, Lane threw for four touchdowns in two seasons while showing leadership in the locker room.

Lane’s playing career ended a few years after the chaos surrounding NIL took center stage, sparking national debates and even reaching the federal government. Lane’s impressive college career led him to a front office position at Georgia Tech, serving as the Yellow Jackets’ NIL recruiting coordinator, and, according to CBS Sports insider Matt Zenitz, he accepted a position as Western Kentucky’s director of scouting.
Still in his early 20s, Lane’s future is extremely bright and he now has a chance to make an impact in the recruiting process with the Hilltopsand could return to Georgia Tech or Texas A&M in an even larger front office or coaching role.
