So we knew we wanted to celebrate the return of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to ESPN with a unique element to it,” said Lucas Ferraro, director of sports marketing at ESPN. “All the artists did a phenomenal job modernizing the track for today’s fans while infusing it with the classic elements we all know and love.”
The remixes will debut on various dates throughout the playoffs, starting with Murda Beatz for the first roundJoywave for the second round and Zeds Dead for the Stanley Cup conference finals. All remixes will be broadcast on television in news spots created for each round of the playoffs, and on social media on ESPN, the NHL and the artists’ social channels, as well as on ESPN radio.
