Honolulu (Hawaii) Farrington offensive lineman Isaiah Bertola took two official visits and just landed a scholarship offer from one of his childhood favorites.
Bertola is one of the top tackle prospects in the West and is currently a four-star player and the No. 385 player nationally in the Rivals industry rankings. He’s even higher in the new Rivals 300 and checked in as the No. 202 prospect in the country.

Evaluating Bertola’s performance at the Warriors4Youth camp in January during the week of the Polynesian Bowl, he showed all the traits of a future elite tackle.
He is long with good feet, he is balanced and can finish. He shows up well on the tape and is equally adept as a pass protector as he is a run blocker.
On the recruitment side, Bertola has planned two official visits with BYU And Cal.
“I have Cal on June 5 and BYU on June 19,” Bertola said. “I’ve never been to Cal before, but I really like the new staff and it’s definitely one of the schools recruiting me the hardest.
“I was at BYU last year for a game day visit and almost committed. I really loved it there, and the bond the players have with the coaches really stood out to me, so I can’t wait to go back for my official trip.”

What looked for a minute like a two-team race has now expanded significantly following Bertola’s latest bid to U.S.C..
“USC just extended me an offer earlier today and I’m very excited about it,” Bertola said. “It’s the one I’ve been waiting for because I like what they’re doing at USC right now.
“I actually have family not far from the school, so I’m definitely going to take an official visit. I’ve developed a good relationship with (OL coach) Coach (Zach) Hanson, and I’ve always liked USC so that was important to me.”
Bertola also received offers from Duke, Penn State, UCLA and Washington during the January contact period. He said he might visit UCLA while he’s in town to check out USC, but he doesn’t have anything planned at the moment.
