Fox Sports 1 presents two NASCAR specials on Sunday, June 14, including one in which fans raise their voices on issues that need to be addressed by NASCAR, and a second in which Stewart-Haas Racing drivers share their collective voices as a quartet for the first time.
NASCAR FANS TALKING and BEING: STEWART-HAAS RACING debuts at 5:30 p.m. ET and 6:00 p.m. ET, respectively, on Sunday, immediately following FOX Sports 1’s live broadcast of the NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES race from Michigan (1:00 p.m. ET) and post-race coverage on FOX SPORTS LIVE (4:30 p.m. ET).
NASCAR FANS SPEAK, a 30-minute “electronic town hall,” explores a variety of topics that fans are most interested in, as determined by their online voting. This special edition of NASCAR RACE HUB features Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer, with the top-voted topics on FOXSports.com in a poll conducted Wednesday, June 10 through Saturday, June 13. O’Donnell then joins host John Roberts and analyst Jeff Hammond from Michigan’s Hollywood Hotel to answer the most popular issues. On Wednesday, June 10, the list of possible topics, including race length, rain racing and season length, among others, will be posted on FOXSports.com.
Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET, BEING: STEWART HAAS RACING takes a look at the sport’s most dynamic and diverse team, with separate and group interviews with Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch and Danica Patrick, marking the first time all four have been interviewed together. The only NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES team with three champions, a driver/owner and a female driver, Stewart-Haas Racing faced its share of questions about whether the unique combination of talent and personality would work. In a roundtable discussion, the four share their perspectives on the organization, their goals and how they relate to each other off the track, providing insight into what BEING: STEWART-HAAS RACING is all about. Danielle Trotta hosts the hour-long special in which Matt Yocum sits down with the quartet.
FOX Sports 1’s live coverage of Michigan track action begins Friday, June 12 at 11:30 a.m. ET with NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES practice.
