During a conference game between the UCLA Bruins and the Michigan State Spartans, fans saw something very strange happen between a coach and a player.
Despite a blowout loss to Michigan State on Tuesday night, UCLA’s Steven Jamerson III rushed in transition to prevent Spartans big man Carson Cooper from taking an open look at the basket. His foul was a little too harsh and the two players clashed once the game was over.

Cooper went to the free throw line and Jamerson was called a flagrant foul for his dangerous actions.
This decision by officials, however, was not good enough for UCLA head coach Mick Cronin.
He bizarrely chose to send Jamerson to the locker room and eject him from the game when the referees had not ruled as much.
Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo said it was the βfirst timeβHe saw a coach do that, but it sure looked like Cronin.

After the loss, Cronin was asked what he thought about the moment the Michigan State student section chanted the name of former Spartans great Xavier Booker who has since transferred to play for the Bruins.

Cronin said that was the worst question he had ever been asked, then asked the reporter if he really thought he would care about the opposing student section.
The reporter calmly replied no when Cronin bizarrely asked if the interviewer was raising his voice at him. When told no, Cronin didn’t take that answer.
It was an incredibly strange interaction and it made this strange night even stranger for UCLA fans everywhere.
