We all have regrets. This includes baseball teams like the Royals, who have moves that didn’t work out, moments that didn’t go as planned, crucial decisions that could have gone differently.
Time travel stories and alternate histories are some of my favorite genres of fiction. And if a man decides to take the metro instead of a taxi, does he miss meeting the love of his life? If a butterfly flaps its wings in China, does that somehow lead to a tornado on the other side of the world? Small choices can have unexpected consequences.

Baseball is like that too. A draft pick goes one slot sooner. A manager stays with a pitcher one hitter too long. A front office pulls the trigger on a trade or decides not to. A rider is held back, or perhaps he is kicked out and thrown out.
Royals history is full of “sliding door” moments. What moment in Royals history would you change? Could this be Game 7 of the 2014 World Series? Would you remove Dan Quisenberry from the 1980 World Series? Or maybe you’d like to change a small trade that could have allowed the team to be competitive during unsuccessful seasons. Redo a draft? Pulling the trigger on a trade? Keeping a manager who was fired?
Go back in time and change the course of history!
