After the Olympics, the next most prestigious international basketball competition is the FIBA World Cup. Organized every four years, and two years before the Olympic Games, it is a good tournament to assess the level of competition around the world. Last season, Clark was limited due to injury and was ultimately ruled out for the rest of the year and the playoffs. Reese, on the other hand, continued to build on his strong rookie year, establishing himself as the cornerstone of the Chicago Sky franchise.
In Bueckers’ case, she was the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings, and also had a historic rookie season en route to being named an All-Star and Rookie of the Year.
