Mike Tyson names Novak Djokovic as his favorite player
Mike Tyson discussed his interest in tennis during his appearance on Logan Paul’s show Impulsive podcast. When asked about his favorite player, Tyson responded by naming Novak Djokovic.
He added that although he respects Carlos Alcaraz, Tyson admitted that seeing Djokovic lose to Alcaraz made him very frustrated.
“Tennis. Djokovic, Djokovic is the man.”
“Listen, I didn’t think Djokovic was going to beat him this time, he always kicks Djokovic. It makes me so mad!”

The comment made it clear where Tyson’s loyalties lie and why the rivalry continues to frustrate him.
Tyson unlikely to have appreciated Alcaraz’s Australian Open victory
Mike Tyson later explained why Carlos Alcaraz’s success against Novak Djokovic got under his skin. At the time of his comments, Djokovic had beaten Alcaraz to win the 2024 Olympic gold medal.
However, Alcaraz had just beaten Djokovic in the 2024 Wimbledon final, which is why Tyson feared at the time that his favorite would lose again.
Those remarks now carry more weight after Alcaraz beat Djokovic again in the 2026 Australian Open final.
