THE Georgia Bulldogs received some big news on Monday, as 2027 five-star running back Kemon Spell announced his commitment to the Bulldogs.

Spell is the No. 1 running back in his class and No. 7 player overall, according to the 247 Sports Composite. He competes for McKeesport High School in Pennsylvania, where he is the top-ranked player in the state.

The 5-foot-9, 205-pound guard was highly sought after during his recruitment, initially committing to Penn State but backing out of his commitment after head coach James Franklin was fired. Spell held offers from nearly every Power 4 program, including Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon and Miami.

But ultimately, Spell decided to engage in Georgia and join what head coach Kirby Smart has built into a physical program in the SEC.

With the addition of Spell to their 2027 recruiting class, the Bulldogs now sit at No. 8 in the 2027 cycle, headlined by the top-ranked running back in the class in Spell.

This looks to be another strong class for the Bulldogs, who signed the nation’s 11th-ranked class in 2026.
