My overall record is 124-127-1 after going 1-3 last week. The BGN community is now tied at 124-127-1 after going 3-1 in the divisional round. All tied with three matches to go! We are heading towards a photo finish.
Here are suggestions for trying to beat the odds.
AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTES (-4.5) at DENVER BRONCOS: Jarrett Stidham is definitely not that; he never looked good when he had to play. As Nick Foles wisely pointed out, the New England Patriots have struggled against backup quarterbacks in the past. But I don’t see that happening here. The Broncos got to this point in part through a lot of luck and now their fortunes appear to be running out. The Pats have answered the bell every time they’ve been doubted this year. I won’t regret trusting Drake Maye, who was pretty great. PICK: Patriots -4.5
NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
LOS ANGELES RAMS vs. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-2.5): The Seahawks are awesome and they have one of the best home field advantages in the NFL. But I’ve been riding with the Rams as the best team in the league for most of the season and I’m not about to give up on them now. I want Seattle to win, but at the end of the day, I just trust Matthew Stafford to pull through (even against this defense) more than I trust Sam Darnold to do so. CHOOSE: Rams +2.5
