Athletes Unlimited Announces All-Star Roster for Season 5 of Women’s Basketball

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Unlimited Athletes announced Thursday a final roster including 20 returning players and 20 newcomers for its fifth season of women’s basketball that begins Feb. 4 in Nashville.

The list includes Tina Charles, the WNBA career leader in rebounds and field goals, who played overseas for the past decade during the league’s offseason.

WNBA veterans love Ariel AtkinsAlysha Clark, three-time Olympian Kia Nurse, Odyssey Sims, Aerial Powers, Kiah Stokes, Brianna Turner, Isabelle Harrison and Bria Hartley are also on board for this season.

Lexie Brown, president of the UA Professional Basketball Players Executive Committee, will also have her father, former Celtics star Dee Brown, by her side. His title is Player Improvement Specialist. He will work with Danielle Viglione to assist coaches Zak Buncik, Edniesha Curry, Chaz Franklin and Kia Vaughn.

Other players competing include Aneesha Morrow, Nalyssa Smith, Jacy Sheldon, Te-Hina Paopao, Zia Cooke, Deja Kelly, Kaitlyn Chen, Jaylyn Sherrod and Aaliyah Nye.

Megan Perry, vice president of basketball at Athletes Unlimited, said this list includes players who want to compete against the best. The UA format features 5-on-5 basketball.

“The depth of the 40 spots is exceptional, and it’s going to make this season one of the toughest and most compelling we’ve had,” Perry said.

The 2026 season will be played for a second consecutive year at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium from February 4 to March 1.
