Paige Bueckers received buckets his entire life – from Hopkins High School to the University of Connecticut and now to Dallas Wings of the WNBA. Buckets simply follow her wherever she goes, and she’s one of the hardest players to stop when she gets going – just ask the Mist of the Unrivaled basketball league, Team Bueckers and Breeze were demolished Monday night.

Bueckers was so dominant that the Mist barely had a chance, trailing the Breeze by double digits heading into the final frame. As the league adopted the Elam ending used by the NBA All-Star Game from 2020 to 2023, Bueckers had the opportunity to close out the game with his team up 17, 81-64, in the final period.
And as the Wings star walked off the court, she called her shot in semi-transition and drilled a ridiculously difficult a step-back jumper from deep middle over the outstretched arms of Veronica Burton, giving the Breeze an 83-64 victory with her 36th and 37th points of the night.
Considering how Bueckers is both electric and composed for almost every minute she’s on the court, it’s hard to forget that she’s only 24 years old and had recently just finished her WNBA rookie campaign with the Wings. For her, the sky truly is the limit.

The Breeze started 2026 on an ideal note, winning their first two matches of the new year. But they lost their next two games before MLK Day, which made their convincing win against the Mist all the more important.
Their next match is in six days, when they face the 0-4 Lunar Owls. The Lunar Owls were supposed to have Napheesa Collier in the lead, but she recently had double ankle surgery it would take months for him to recover.
