South Hobart footballer Kostas Kanakaris will look to the interstate and overseas leagues after winning a new national record.
Kanakaris scored three goals in two minutes and 51 seconds against Launceston City in the Tasmanian Victory League a fortnight ago.
The feat eclipses the national league record by six minutes, making it the fastest hat-trick in Australian semi-professional football.
Kanakaris, 23, will use the hat-trick exposure to continue his football career.
“I’m trying very hard at the moment, I’m training very hard,” he said.
“I would love the opportunity to play in the A-League or something bigger, but the first thing is this year in the Victory League, South Hobart wins the premiership.”
