Coco Gauff meets Jordan Smith after her million dollar win

Coco Gauff lost her only match at One Point Slam this year, hitting her only serve directly into the net against Donna Vekic.

Despite only hitting one ball, Gauff still seemed to enjoy the event and was clearly very excited about amateur Jordan Smith’s victory in the entire event.

After Smith won the event, Gauff wrote on

A day after Smith’s triumph at Rod Laver Arena, Gauff revealed she met Smith and his girlfriend in a new social media post.

“I met the legend himself and his girlfriend! Lol, I told him to be in the photo because behind every good man is a great woman.”

Who did Jordan Smith beat to win the One Point Slam?

Smith is a New South Wales tennis coach and qualified for the event as one of the state champions.

Although he clearly knew how to hit a ball, no one expected Smith to beat six different opponents on a single point.

It started for Smith against Australian rules football player Bailey Smith, before beating his first professional, world number 200 Laura Pigossi.

While that was impressive for Smith, things went to another level when world number two Sinner fouled out and was eliminated from the tournament.

Smith went on to beat the two-time Grand Slam finalist Amanda AnisimovaPedro Martinez then Joanna Garland in the final, crowning an incredible story.

This rewarded Smith with a million dollar check, and he is now the big story before the start of the Australian Open.
