MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka are officially named the top seeds for the Australian Open which begins Sunday at Melbourne Park.

Wednesday’s announcement comes a day before the tournament draw.

Two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner was seeded second, Alexander Zverev third and ten-time champion Novak Djokovic fourth. Sabalenka, Iga Świątek and Coco Gauff are the top three seeds in the women’s draw for the second year in a row.

Madison Keys returns as the defending champion and ninth seed, one of four Americans among the top 10 seeds.
