Notre Dame football historically has multiple rivalries, and even if one of them is not with the Florida State Seminolesthey are still enemies of the ACC.
The playing history between the two teams began in 1981, as they have faced each other a total of twelve times since then. The Irish have won the last four games since 2014, but the Seminoles have won the previous three. A little more fuel was added to the intra-conference fighters on Friday, as Carson Hobbs has decided to transfer to FSU according to Hayes Fawcett.

The sophomore from Ohio has seen the field in two seasons for the Irish with 7 tackles and an interception this fall against Texas A&M in the opening. Hobbs had a mediocre game against the Aggies, which caused the coaching staff to try other players and was ultimately overlooked on the depth chart.
Hobbs could become a Seminoles player, and it doesn’t appear he will face Notre Dame after this decision, at least in the regular season.
