Demond Williams Jr.’s agent says he will no longer represent Washington QB ‘due to philosophical differences’

As Demond Williams Jr. looks to leave Washingtonhis agent said Thursday that he no longer represents the Huskies quarterback.

Doug Hendrickson said in a social media post that he had “made the decision to terminate my representation of Demond Williams Jr. effective immediately due to philosophical differences.” Hendrickson, who is with the Wasserman Football Agency, said he wished “him and his family the best in their future endeavors.”

Hendrickson is also the agent for Washington coach Jedd Fisch.

Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports reported Wednesday that Williams signed a one-year contract with Washington through the 2026 season, worth approximately $4 million. Under the agreement, the school can ban Williams from the portal after signing the agreement and the agreement also prohibits another school from using the player’s NIL rights.

Since Williams has not been officially entered into the transfer portal, NCAA rules prohibit him from talking to other schools. However, coaches across the country have been speaking out against any tampering for months. And it’s hard to believe that many, if any, coaches who have publicly complained about tampering have not, at least indirectly, implicated him in the matter.

LSU has been widely mentioned as a school interested in Williams. Lane Kiffin is looking for a transfer quarterback ahead of the 2026 season as Cincinnati’s Brendan Sorsby has committed to Texas Tech and current Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss is expected to stay with the Rebels if the NCAA grants him a sixth year of eligibility.

Williams would immediately become the best QB available if and when he enters the transfer portal. He completed 246 of 354 passes for 3,065 yards and 25 touchdowns in 13 games while rushing 143 times for 611 yards and six scores.
