Guehi’s intentions spark optimism at Liverpool

The latest report reads: “Guehi has clearly shown that he is the ultimate professional, and any decision he makes will be left until the end of the season.”
Considering that prospective free agents are allowed to speak to European clubs six months before the end of their contract to agree a pre-contract, with English clubs only allowed to negotiate a month in advance, the implication of his position is that he wants to stay in the Premier League.
This doesn’t necessarily mean he doesn’t want to join Bayern Munich, Real Madrid or other clubs offering a place in their team. As the report notes, he is “ready to choose European clubs next summer”, and that type of assessment will take time, which could explain why he is waiting.
