The Lions are nowhere near making the playoffs after Sunday’s loss to the Steelers, and head coach Dan Campbell knows he’s not without blame.
Campbell has been widely praised over the past two seasons as the Lions have gone from one of the worst teams in the NFL to one of the best under his leadership, but after Sunday’s game he acknowledged that this year hasn’t been good enough, from either his players or himself.

“There’s a lot of mistakes that have happened. We have mental errors here and there, or a lack of self-discipline. And ultimately, I blame it all on me. It’s my fault. There’s no other way to fix it, other than it’s the head coach. So it’s my fault, man,” Campbell said.
The only path left for the Lions to the playoffs is to win their remaining two games and hope the Packers lose their remaining two games.
