HOLLY HILL — JW Johnson and her sister Jorja doubled in doubles, and Anna Leigh Waters made short work of her short week as a PPA Tour member. Daytona Beach Opens completed another stop at Pictona at Holly Hill.

JW and Jorja won mixed doubles gold and both split win gold in men’s and women’s doubles.

Jorja won her gold medal in women’s doubles with the world’s best pickleball player, Anna Leigh Waterswho often wins gold in all three categories, but withdrew from the singles and mixed doubles last week.

More than 1,300 players – professionals and, the vast majority, amateurs of varying levels – took part in this year’s Pictona PPA Tour event.

The professional tour resumes in mid-January with the Carvana Masters at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage, California.

Here’s the results recap from Sunday’s finals at the Daytona Beach Open, and by the way, the singles finals are best-of-three, while doubles are best-of-five.

Men’s singles

Christopher Haworth had no problems in the final, beating Gabriel Joseph 11-5, 11-1.

Men’s Doubles

The closest game of the championship on Sunday came down to a best-of-five matchup. The two-legged final went to JW Johnson and Augustus Ge, who outlasted Riley Newman and Noe Khlif – 11-6, 9-11, 11-1, 6-11, 11-8.

Ladies’ singles

Catherine Parenteau, ranked seventh or better in the 2025 PPA Tour rankings in all three divisions (singles, doubles, mixed), took advantage of Waters’ absence in singles and won gold with an 11-4, 12-10 victory over Katerina Stewart.

Women’s Doubles

A more competitive final might have been in the cards, since it featured the tournament’s top two seeds, but Jorja Johnson and Anna Leigh Waters swept second seeds Catherine Parenteau and Tyra Hurricane Black — 11-3, 11-8, 11-5.

Mixed Doubles

The Johnsons left no doubt as to why they were seeded in this event.

The brother-sister duo of Jorja and JW made quick work of sixth-seeded Andrei Daescu and Kaitlyn Christian – 11-5, 11-1, 11-4.
