Chip Lindsey’s stay at Michigan football lasted a year.
Michigan, already in the market for a new coachnow adds offensive coordinator to that list. Lindsey, the Wolverines“calling offensive play in 2025, reportedly accepted CO job with Missouri under coach Eli Drinkwitz, who has just obtained a contract extension.

Lindsey’s status as coach during Michigan’s bowl game against Texas “remains in flux,” according to ESPN. Pete Thamel wrote on X.
Michigan will now be on its fifth offensive coordinator in five years – following Matt Weiss in 2022 (fired), Sherrone Moore in 2023 (promoted to coach), Kirk Campbell in 2024 (fired) and Lindsey, who is headed to Columbia, Missouri.
Lindsey, 51 years old, was hired by the Wolverines in December 2024 after two seasons as OC at North Carolina.
