Okay, it’s Saturday morning and a game is scheduled, but all these polling places closed Friday afternoon.
But if you play and correctly believe in the majority’s choice, then these polls are for you. The bad news? They’re already 0-1 after picking Oklahoma to win and cover. Board games today? They are the favorites in the three categories according to the nation.

Yes, Huskers fans, we slightly missed the 12-team playoffs for a second year in a row, but we’ll be watching. And even if you are not the majority, like we discovered this in a previous investigationsome will bet on the results, and thus have a little more skin in the game as we sweat out a first round on Saturday. So check the results and place your bets accordingly.
And just for fun, I’ll throw my picks in the ring. I didn’t get off to a good start.
-
Note that as the bets piled up, many agreed with the 56% majority here, as the line actually moved the Okies to -1.5 favorites. Oops.
-
Double oops, actually, because I was with the crowd there. Boomer Earlier indeed.
-
It was nice to read messages from Notre Dame fans online as the game progressed. Yes, the Domers quit, but they just don’t want to go away.
-
The 1st quarter and a 1/2: “We told you Alabama sucked!! We were screwed!!”
-
Then: (Grunting under their breath) “They both suck. It’s so unfair. 😢”
-
Honestly, I haven’t seen Alabama’s stalled offense recently tear apart the Sooners D like they did once they warmed up. To be honest, I doubt that few have done so.
-
The line is tight and predictors see ATM as a slight favorite in what should be the other close matchup of the 1st round.
-
Fans here – 71% of them – see Aggies coverage.
-
Maybe, like me, they see 2-3 Carson Beck interceptions in front of a wild College Station crowd as a little too much to overcome. Aggies 27-23.
-
People aren’t expecting this battle in the Deep South to be close, and they might be right.
-
Tulane was victorious but not dominant in beating inferior Conference USA teams.
-
Ole Miss doesn’t play much defense at times, so Tulane will make some scores, Ole Miss, Lane or no Lane will as well. Ole Miss 44 Tulane 20
-
People are expecting bloodshed, including the SBNation crowd – 89% of them.
-
I’m not so sure. Madison might be a little underrated here – hey, who was a solid core of that Indiana team that burst onto the scene last season to make the CFP?
-
Pride will help some, but Madison may not be the pushover people expect and Oregon doesn’t blow out competitive teams too often. The Ducks win, but I’m going with the 11% – Oregon 31 JMU 20
AND JUST BECAUSE IT’S A WORLD OF HUSKERS HERE, HOW ABOUT CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN TO EMMETT JOHNSON FOR MAKING EVERY ALL-AMERICAN TEAM THEY PUT IN FRONT OF HIM.
