After 18 seasons as head football coach at his alma mater, Galen Snyder resigned at Pennsbury.
During his tenure, the Falcons went 137-71 and won two PIAA District One championships (2006, 2014) and also won five Suburban One League titles.

He also helped two Pennsbury teams reach the district semifinals.

Snyder took over the Pennsylvania program in 2002 (after coaching at Harry S. Truman for four years) and spent 14 years at the helm before resigning so he could watch his son, Luke, play college football at Kutztown.

After a short stint on Truman’s coaching staff, Snyder returned to Pennsbury in 2022, taking over a team in the throes of a 17-game losing streak.

Remarkably, he quickly turned the program around as his 2022 team went 7-0 and won the SOL National Conference title and finished with a 9-2 overall mark. This year’s team struggled and finished with a 1-9 record.

A 1986 Pennsbury graduate, Snyder was a standout linebacker on the school’s undefeated 1985 team and earned all-state honors that season. He played college football at Duke and Columbia.
