How I Created My Dream Golf Simulator and What I Learned

I built my dream golf simulator setup in my man cave. If you want to follow the full DIY process, I’ve shared all the details of my garage renovation. The centerpiece of my dream build is my Full Swing KIT Studio.

The first question I ask myself is: “Why did you choose Full Swing as your simulator?”

I have five reasons.

Before we get there, from now until December 1st, you can get up to $2,500 off a Full Swing KIT Studio. There are currently Full Swing deals for every budget during holiday shopping. Discover the discount codes below, available while they last!

1: Communications at full speed

From the start, I was impressed with the open line of communication with the Full Swing team. No matter what question I had, big or small, they were willing to answer and even offered advice on questions that didn’t directly relate to their product as I built out my space.

Whether directly from Full Swing’s communications team or from the automated AI service set up on their website, I have been advised every step of the way, in the most helpful way possible, by Full Swing.

This may seem subtle, but I received radio silence from many other companies in the industry when I began researching golf simulator options. You will have questions throughout the process. Trust me and you’ll need reliable sources to help you answer them.

2: Affordable Custom Options

No two home simulation spaces are the same. While the majority of the simulator’s custom options come at a premium price, I was pleasantly surprised to see Full Swing offer options that wouldn’t break the bank. There are very reasonable Full Swing KIT Studio options available to pair with a premium Full Swing KIT launch monitor at a variety of price options.

3: DIY friendly

As I mentioned above, I wasn’t looking for a simulator that had a professionally installed option. If so, Full Swing has it too, and it can be found in many people’s homes. notable professional golfers. However, I’m not in the same tax bracket…

For my Full Swing KIT Studio, it was shipped safely on a pallet and delivered directly to my garage door. A+ service, I might add. The package comes with detailed step-by-step instructions that any novice DIYer can follow. With help from my dad, my neighbor, and a pair of stepladders, we put everything together in less than two hours with no problems.

This setup process may one day make its way into an ad that’s “so simple a caveman can do it.”

4: Practice with purpose

The #1 reason I wanted a golf simulator at home is to have a place to practice in the winter. I live on Long Island and our golf season lasts about six months a year. That leaves the sticks on ice half the year. No more!

A problem I have, and that most other amateur golfers share, is hitting balls on the range for the sake of hitting balls. I’m not really improving at all. If anything, I’m getting worse as I continue to reinforce bad habits without real goals in place.

With my Full Swing setup, I can now train with a specific goal. The world is data-driven these days, and there’s no doubt that data literacy can help everyone’s golf games. The Full Swing KIT comes with 16 data points available for each swing. Even though not all of these numbers are useful to me, I try to focus on the ones that help me with what I’m trying to accomplish. If you’re a data enthusiast, you’ll be in heaven.

All of this data is relayed from the launch monitor to your laptop and the Full Swing app on your phone. I am now able to study trends and see progress in what I am working on. Another reason to spend more time on our phones – although it’s a good reason for once.

5: All kinds of courses

As a PGA Tour partner, it’s hard to beat the assortment of courses available to play with Full Swing software. You can find a lot of them on List of the 100 best GOLF courses in the world. Whether it’s Pebble Beach, The Old Course or TPC Sawgrass, the course selection is as good as in the simulator space.

In the past, the biggest deterrent to simulator golf was the unrealistic and poor quality of the graphics. This is no longer the case, especially with Full Swing. The courses are precise and I feel like I’ll get quality workouts when I finally make the must-do trip to Pebble Beach.
