The Texas Rangers have announced one of the most unique promotional events of the MLB season.
They associate with TOHO Animation and Crunchyroll for a themed evening around the anime “JUJUTSU KAISEN”.
This game will take place on Tuesday, July 1 at 7:05 p.m. against the Baltimore Orioles. Fans who purchase a ticket will receive an exclusive black and blue JJK-themed jersey with the name “Sorcerer” on the back.
“JUJUTSU KAISEN” is an extremely popular anime that debuted in 2020 and has two seasons.
It is widely considered one of the most beloved shows of all time in its genre.

MLB has made a big effort to integrate into Japanese culture this year with its fan base growing in that country thanks to players like Shohei Ohtani and Roki Sasaki.
Before this season’s first game in the Tokyo Series, MLB released an animated short film titled “Heroes of the Game” starring Hiroshi Shimizo, a popular animator who contributed to famous works such as “Yuri!!! On Ice” and “Millenium Actress.”
Rangers fans with a keen eye can spot the back of an animated version of superstar slugger Corey Seager towards the end of this video.
Even for Texas fans who have no idea what the anime is, this should still be a fun night since this match will definitely provide some interesting gameplay.
The Orioles have been one of the most disappointing teams in the league this season, but they have a core of young talent that can break out on any given night.
At worst, they have a weak pitching staff that the Rangers should be able to exploit.
