ESPN announced the location for Week 13 College GameDay, and fans don’t seem to be happy.
Pat McAfee and his team will head west as they travel to Eugene for the matchup between the No. 4 Oregon Ducks and the No. 3 USC Trojans in what is a huge game in the Big Ten Conference.
“We return to Eugene as Oregon hosts USC in a Big Ten rivalry clash!!” THE college football pre-match show announced.
This is the second time this season that ESPN has visited Oregon after broadcasting the college’s Week 7 game against Indiana live from there.
Pat McAfee, Rece Davis, Nick Sabana, Desmond Howard and Kirk Herbstreit will prepare to host the top 25 showdown.
This is the 33rd time Oregon has hosted GameDay.

The Ducks are 20-14 when on the show and 9-4 when featured as a home team.
Oregon is coming off an impressive 42-13 win over Minnesota on Friday and is on a four-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, USC just beat Iowa 26-21 to extend its winning streak to three games. A win against Oregon would increase its chances of making the College Football Playoff.
Fans aren’t happy with Week 13 venue
While on the surface the decision to go with Eugene isn’t that surprising, given that they are two heavyweights going against each other, that still hasn’t stopped fans from expressing their frustration with ESPN’s decision.
Some thought they should have chosen to go to a smaller school and not go to a place they had already been to this year.
“The whole country which I don’t agree on anything, I would agree that College Game Day should never visit the same campus twice in the same regular season. The playoffs are a different story.” a user posted.
One fan online even pointed out that there was a huge game between Montana State and the Montana Grizzlies this weekend, dubbed the “Brawl of the Wild” due to the intensity of their rivalry.
“I still can’t believe ‘College GameDay’ will return to Eugene instead of ‘Brawl of The Wild’ between #2 Montana and #3 Montana State,” CSOon X posted.
“Very lame. Recognize schools outside of P4 for once.”
The game is also de facto the Big Sky Conference championship, with the winner ensuring the league’s automatic bid to the FCS playoffs and a top-two finish.
“There were 3 legitimately good matchups at schools you didn’t visit this year. Instead, you went to a great program you’ve already visited and visit almost every year. Embarrassing,” wrote another user.
“We can’t set such high expectations for them, they clearly have no interest in moving to smaller schools,” one fan added.
This isn’t the first time ESPN has sparked controversy over the program’s location.
During week 9, Kirk Herbstreit was forced to defend his decision to go to Nashville for an SEC game between the Missouri Tigers and Vanderbilt Commodores.
ESPN has not yet announced the guests for the event.
In recent weeks, they have had the love Patrick Mahomes And Aaron Donald, retired Rams icon.
