The NBA player, instead of lining up for free throw attempts, walked to the sidelines and stood in front of the fan. The man stood up and stretched his arms out to the side as the two chatted. The authorities stepped between the two and calmer heads took over.
Sam Green told the Associated Press he taunted the NBA champion with chants of “Angel Reese”, because the Warriors player had taken no shots while grabbing seven rebounds. The Chicago Sky star was criticized for her inflated numbers because she had her own hiccups. But Reese turned that slight into profit by trademarking “MeBounds” during his second year in the league.
The fan said the Warriors player yelled profanities at him and threatened to punch him if the “Angel Reese” chants continued.

“I wasn’t using profanity and for him to walk 12 feet off the field to come at me like that was a little annoying,” Sam Green told the outlet.
Green said after the game that he was angry with the fan because of the chants.
“He kept calling me a woman,” he said. via ESPN. “It was a joke at first, but you can’t keep calling me a woman.”
It is unclear whether Green will be fined for this interaction. The fan was only given a warning and allowed to remain in his seat on the field. The Warriors player was fined $25,000 in 2022 for what the NBA described as “directing obscene language toward a fan.”
