Playoff standings
Georgia stayed at 1. As it should.
Ohio State is No. 2. Like it should be.
Michigan is #3, and if you don’t watch, they will fly higher if necessary. But it’s also as it should be.
The change in last night’s College Football Playoff rankings was the reversal of 4 and 5, where Washington edged out FSU for the coveted fourth spot in the poll.
The committee said that was due to Washington’s gutsy two-point road win at Oregon State. (Note: I’m not sure I ever thought I’d be writing about anyone getting much credit for a “courageous two-point road win at Oregon State”, but here we are.) The Committee – which is run by a guy named Boo – also said that Washington’s improving defense is to be commended.
