Glendale, Arizona – There are clearly different opinions on the monkey of the Angels rally at the Dodgers camp.
Slugger Matt Kemp? Afraid. Manager Don Mattingly? Find it funny.
The Spunky monkey became a hot topic on Tuesday at the Camelback Ranch after the first day of the Dodgers training sessions in the desert.
“I like the rally monkey a bit, I do it. It’s funny,” said Mattingly, starting her second season as a manager in Los Angeles. “I try to tell the guys:” You should like the rally monkey because when the rally monkey goes out, then you have an advance. “I prefer to have an advance to be late.
Mattingly discussed the angels before and after training, reminding everyone that Dodgers are the real Los Angeles team.
“If you are in Los Angeles, do you lead Anaheim to watch matches?” Said Mattingly. “(The owner Arte) Moreno did an excellent job. It is an incredible change compared to the moment when I started to go there when I was in New York.”
Mattingly Dodgers would better get used to more annoying and sautéed monkeys that bounce around the video card. As usual, the Dodgers and the Angels play six games in the interligue this season, three in Anaheim.
“” I don’t like the rally monkey. I’m afraid of the rally monkey, “said Kemp.” You are in the outside field and the monkey appears on the screen, it’s a bit scary. “”
