Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard was forced within 30 minutes of the Gunners match Premier league Against West Ham after seeing a knee.
Odegaard suffered in a challenge with Crysencio Summerville, his knee by collizing with West Ham Winger’s leg while he won the ball.
The 26-year-old initially received treatment and tried to continue playing, before finally going back to the 30th minute, then being replaced by Martin Zubimenddi with the score still at 0-0.
The incident marks the third time in which Odegaard was withdrawn due to an injury this season, the Norwegian having already missed several games this season due to a shoulder problem.
He first underwent the problem in the match against Leeds in August, before being forced again after aggravating the same shoulder in the 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest.
Odegaard will join Kai Havertz, Noni Madueke, Gabriel Jesus and Piero Hincie on the treatment table, although the initial signs were positive with the Norwegian at least able to run for several minutes before being replaced.
The Gunners had been dominant in possession before the withdrawal of Odegaard and Zubimenddi filled the gap left by his good captain, sliding in a superb ball to Ebelechi Eze at the forefront at the first goal.
The hosts continued their domination after opening the scoring, closing the first 45 minutes to make sure they entered the break in their heads thanks to Declan Rice’s strike.
