Davis Chatfield entered the championship of compliance solutions in ninth position on the list of Korn Ferry tour points. With only the remaining Tour championship after this week, he is in good position to win the status of PGA Tour for next year, but it is still that he hoped to improve.
An opening 59 certainly helps its cause.

The 26-year-old Massachusetts player was only three under the peer after eight holes, then played the last 10 in nine to shoot 12-me of 59 years, the 16th round sub60 in the history of Korn Ferry Tour. Catfield played the last four holes in five under the peer to close a 28 out of the nine back for a run record at the Patriot Golf Club in Owasso, Okla. Zecheng Dou fired 61.
Chatfield had only six under peer after 13 holes, then finished Birdie, Albatros, Birdie, by, Birdie. It’s eight pars, nine birdies and an albatrosur for 59 years. The albatrosses came to the 15th hole of 561 yards by 5, where it fled 268 yards with a wood at 3.

It was a strong season for Chatfield, who played university golf course at Notre Dame. He became a pro in 2022 and finished 62nd on the list of Korn Ferry tour points in 2023, moved to 44th on the list last year and is until the ninth year this year, thanks to six Top-10 and the second places at Astara Chile Classic and at the UNC health championship.

The 75 best players on the list of points on the tour after this week will earn an exemption status for next year. The first 20 on the list after the Tour championship next week will allow members of the PGA Tour for 2026. It is 194th in the official golf ranking.
