Terrence Shannon, Jr., Minnesota Timberwolves
Shannon continues to offer a rating clinic in Las Vegas. He led Minnesota with 24 points in the 89-73 victory of the team against Detroit at Thomas & Mack Center.
The Timberwolves improved at 3-0 in Las Vegas and are in the running for one of the four places in the semi-finals on Saturday.
Shannon, a 6 -footer 6 -inch goalkeeper, also achieved five rebounds, three assists and two interceptions on Tuesday. The choice in the first round in 2024 of the Illinois was 6 out of 9 on the field, 3 out of 3 over a range of 3 points and made the nine of its attempts to launch frank. Shannon, 24, has an average of 22.7 points per match in the NBA Summer League.
Tyler Kolek, New York Knicks
Kolek scored 23 points in the first half to help New York won his first victory in Las Vegas. The 6 -foot 3 -inch goalkeeper added four assists, four interceptions and two rebounds in the victory of his team over the Nets of the Cox Pavilion. He finished with 25 points, with 15 to 3 points.
Kolek was a second round choice in 2024 by the Portland Trail Blazers of Marquette, but was exchanged at the Knicks on the evening of the draft. He shared time between New York and his G-League affiliate The Westchester Knicks in White Plains, New York, last season.
Kolek, 24, had a memorable New Year’s day with the organization. He played 40 minutes and scored 36 points for Westchester, then was called and played 12 minutes for the Knicks later in the evening.
Ajay Mitchell, Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma City continued its winning tracks behind a large night of Mitchell. He scored 27 points while pulling 9 out of 13 on the ground and added seven rebounds, four assists and two interceptions in a 92-75 victory against Orlando at Thomas & Mack Center.
The Thunder improved at 3-0 in Las Vegas. Mitchell, 23, is on average 20 points per game in the NBA Summer League while firing 51.4% of the field.
Mitchell, a 6 -foot 5 -inch goalkeeper, played 36 games for the Thunder last season. He played 12 appearances in playoffs during the team’s championship race.
Faces in the crowd
The crowd of Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion was a little smaller on Tuesday compared to the first five days of the NBA Summer League, but several stars have always stopped.
The teammates of Magic Jalen Suggs and Jett Howard sat on the basic line of the Thomas & Mack Center to watch their team face the Thunder. Orlando coach Jamahl Mosley was also present.
The training gymnasium under Cox Pavilion was filled with star power at one point, because the NBA held a photo shoot for all its recruits. Almost all the best choices of this year’s draft were present, notably the Dallas Mavericks striker, Cooper Flagg (n ° 1), the goalkeeper of San Antonio Spurs Dylan Harper (n ° 2) and the striker of Charlotte Hornets Kon Knueppel (n ° 4). LeBron was joined by his daughter Zhuri to watch Bonny score 17 points in the defeat of the Lakers against the Clippers of Los Angeles at Thomas & Mack Center. Bronny James is on average 13 points per game in Las Vegas.
The Lakers Austin Reaves goalkeeper, Center Jaxson Hayes, striker Jarred Vanderbilt, striker Jake Laravia and the newly acquired center Deandre Ayton also stopped on Monday.
