“We are pleased to announce this strategic partnership with MLB,” said Hideki Hayakawa, representative director, president of Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. “For more than 30 years, we have provided entertaining and immersive baseball video game experiences in Japan and we are happy to associate with the League to share these experiences with a larger public.”
Konami’s Ebaseball ™: MLB Pro Spirit aims to offer an authentic and immersive experience that allows fans to take advantage of the simulation of realistic baseball games and players training on their Android or iOS mobile devices. Konami plans to implement various measures in Ebaseball ™: MLB Pro Spirit, including its “Star Watch” system. In “Star Watch”, Ebaseball ™: MLB Pro Spirit, users predict and vote for a ball player according to the theme of each month. Once the collective vote has been counted, nominated players will appear in the game with power-ups according to their performances in the regular season games of the real world. What is happening during MLB games in the regular season has a direct impact on virtual ball grounds in Ebaseball ™: MLB Pro Spirit creating a pleasant and interactive experience for MLB enthusiasts and video game fans. Events at stake are also planned to vote for stars to help determine who will play in the All-Star game presented by Mastercard in July.
